What is Technical Assistance?
- A way to assist Parent Centers to improve their ability to solve problems by providing information and linking Parent Centers with resources.

- Individualized TA in management, grant, and program content areas
- Support to enhance technology in their Parent Center
- Monthly topical Director teleconferences and listserv
- TAKE 5 electronic newsletter
- Identification and dissemination of helpful resources through www.region5ptac.org website
- Site visits
- Connections to national resources
- Assistance to better serve under-represented families
- T.A. on collaboration with State Education and Part C Lead Agencies
- Board training and development
- Staff training and development
- Development of Fun CAP (Individualized Center Assistance Plan) and resource funding grant
- Annual regional conference with topics based on Region 5 Parent Centers' input
- Referrals to
individuals and organizations who have the expertise and answers to
questions
How Can Region 5 Help Parent Centers?
- We are the first place to call when a Region 5 Parent Center has a question
- We help Parent Centers identify their needs through an assessment process
- We provide regular opportunities for networking with other Parent Centers in Region 5 through website, listservs, work groups, conference calls, etc.
