Technical Assistance Services

What is Technical Assistance?

  • A way to assist parent centers to improve their ability to solve problems by providing information and linking centers with resources.

Region 6 Technical Assistance Services:

  • Individualized TA in management, grant, and program content areas;
  • Support to enhance technology in your center;
  • Topical Director Teleconferences and listserv;
  • eNewsletter: The Magpie;
  • Identify and disseminate helpful resources through website and emails;
  • Site visits;
  • Connections to national resources;
  • Assistance to better serve under-represented families;
  • T.A. on collaboration with State Education and Part C Lead Agencies;
  • Board training and development;
  • Staff training and development;
  • Development of an individual center assessment (Assessing Center Effectiveness, ACE) and Blueprint with resource funding grant;
  • Annual regional conference with topics based on your input;
  • Referrals to individuals and organizations who have the expertise and answers to your questions.

When to call Region 6:

  • We are the first place to call when you have a question;
  • We’ll help you identify needs and support a plan to address them through the ACE;
  • We provide regular opportunities for networking with other centers in our region through website, conference calls, regional activities, site visits, etc.
